Prof. T. Ramayah, is currently a Professor of Technology Management, School of Management, Universiti Sains Malaysia. He is a trained Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis instructor having attended training’s by Professor Joseph Hair (Kennesaw State University), Professor David A. Kenny (University of Connecticut), Professor Gregory Hancock (University of Maryland), Professor Everarda Cunningham (Queensland University of Technology), Professor Christian Ringle (University of Hamburg) and Professor Jorg Henseler (University of Twente) and Professor Marko Sarsted (Otto-von-Guericke Universität Magdeburg). He has conducted Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) workshops in Malaysia, Australia, China, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Indonesia, Thailand and India. He has also conducted workshops in UUM, UKM, UTM, UiTM, UMK, UMS, UNIMAS, USIM, UMT, UNISZA, UTEM, UMP, UPM, UTHM, UTP, INTAN, Sunway University, Monash University, Curtin University, INTI International University & Colleges, Nilai University and Polytechnic Colleges in Malaysia. Prof. T. Ramayah is currently the editor of Journal of Applied Structural Equation Modeling (JASEM), Problems and Perspectives in Management, International Journal of Business Management (IJBM), Indian Journal of Commerce & Management Studies, International Journal of Business and Innovation (IJBI), and Journal of Management Info (JMI). His research interests are including Technology Management, Methodology Research, Information Systems, Operations Research, Measurement of Service Quality/Performance, Job Satisfaction Research, and Marketing-related Research.

2) Academic Research for Industry Perspective: Design Science Research Approach

Design science from academia-industry research perspective. How academic reseaech can be fruitful for industry perspective using design science Dr. Mohammad Nazir Ahmad is an associate professor at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He was awarded a PhD in the field of Information Technology from the University of Queensland (UQ), Brisbane, Australia, in 2009. His research interest is in the fields of Ontology and Knowledge Management. Dr. Mnazir is also member of the International Associations for Ontology and Its Applications (IAOA), member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS) and Exco of Technology for Malaysian Association for Information Systems (MyAIS). Dr. Mnazir’s industrial projects are including Research into Development of the Smart Halal License Identification Systems (2018-2019), Development of the SmartBins Waste Management Systems (2017-2019), and Development of the Cataract Surgery for Opthalmology Department (2017-2019). His intellectual properties are FloodFeed – Multi-Sources Flood Early Warning System, SmartGW – collaborative consumption on managing waste, OpthalDB, 1SMTF – Smart Monitoring Tracking Framework, MyCR – Interlocking Data Management System, OntoMethodVR – Ontology-based Methodology for VR application development, MySelusuri-Halal, and FraudSBMS – Fraud detection for SmartBins solution. Dr. Mnazir’s firm belief is that the application of innovation, creativity and passion is necessary in anything that people want success in, and he believes that this is what ensures that academic work has a significant contribution to community and real world problems.
