ISICO 2023 Wrap Up
Information Systems International Conference 2023 is finally over. For 2 days from 26 until 27 July 2023, the authors gathered at Prama Sanur Beach, Bali to share their research with each other in the submitted paper. This year we have a theme which is “Breakthrough Information Systems Innovations Toward Digital Resilience, Reinvention, and Transformation”. The authors came from many countries across the world. There are 329 submissions (new record) that were selected by double-blind review to be 228 papers (69% acceptance rate). There are 212 registrant papers that come from 23 countries. Of those papers, 89 papers (48%) were presented onsite and 123 papers (52%) were presented online through zoom. This year we have a theme which is “Breakthrough Information Systems Innovations Toward Digital Resilience, Reinvention, and Transformation”. The conference participant can also hear the insightful presentation from our Keynote Speakers. ISICO 2023 was also closed with a Tour de Bali with several participants to see the diversity of Indonesian culture in Bali. Day 1 - 26 July 2023
ISICO 2023 has been held at Prama Sanur Beach, Bali. Every participant from different countries gathers in this place with the goal for share their research. On the first day, the opening ceremony was held at Wantilan attended by all participants
After some opening speech from various parties that support the continuation of the this event, ISICO was finally opened with the beating of the gong
After the Opening Ceremony, all conference participants attend the presentation session from two of our special Keynote Speakers, Prof. Suprateek Sarker, B.E., M.B.A., M.S., Ph.D. and Dr.Eng. Febriliyan Samopa, S.Kom., M.Kom.
ISICO then proceeded with the Workshop session that was brought by Prof. T. Ramayah from Universiti Sains Malaysia with the topic “Introduction to SmartPLS: A Variance Based SEM”.
Along with the workshop, all the authors start to present their papers in Parallel Sessions that were divided into several groups based on the topic theme. The parallel sessions takes place in a hybrid manner which also provided the participants that can’t attend the ISICO onsite.
The first day closed with the Gala Dinner which was attended by all the participants. At the Gala Dinner, every author exchanges views on their experiences in research. There were also several Balinese dance performance to welcome the ISICO 2023.
Day 2 - 27 July 2023
On the second day, ISICO start with the Keynote Speakers session that was brought by Prof.dr.ir. Hajo A. Reijers and Prof. Mahendrawathi Er., ST., M.Sc., Ph.D. Both of the Keynote Speakers presented topics around business process management which is their area of expertise.
Besides of the Keynote Speakers, ISICO also held a Meet and Greet session with the President AIS (Prof Suprateek) , AISINDO Representative (Tony Dwi Susanto Ph.D.), and MyAIS Representative (Dr. Noorminsyah A.lahad).
ISICO continued with the Workshop session by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nazir Ahmad from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Prof Nazir comes up with the topic “Academic Research for Industry Perspective: Design Science Research Approach”.
Same with the previous day, along with the workshop, authors presented their paper in parallel sessions which conducted in hybrid.
Lastly, ISICO was closed by thanking all parties involved in organizing ISICO 2023. We also thank the Keynote Speakers that bring an insightful presentation. After some speeches from the Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Rarasmaya Indraswari, S.Kom, ISICO also gives some appreciation by rewarding the author with two categories, which are Best Paper and Best Presentation.
With these, ISICO 2023 was officially closed. See you on Information Systems International Conference 2025!
