Overview

Information Systems International Conference (ISICO) is a biennial international conference hosted by the Department of Information Systems, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) since 2011. In 2013, ISICO became the official affiliated conference of the Association for Information Systems (AIS) Indonesia Chapter (named AISINDO). During ISICO 2013, the AISINDO was established and was cordially commemorated by The AIS Past President, Professor Doug Vogel, from the City University, Hong Kong. Currently, AISINDO is the largest AIS Chapter in ASEAN in terms of national members. The main philosophy of ISICO is to widen the research collaboration among IS researchers worldwide, especially (but not limited) to those of developing countries. To this point, ISICO does not aim to replace existing IS Conferences such as PACIS, AMCIS, ICIS, or ECIS but rather to complement their presence. In ISICO 2015, we successfully received 230 submissions from 23 countries. Most submissions came from Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand. This number shows that our goal achieved great success, and ISICO is the best place to earn global partnership, especially for research that needs unique case studies in developing countries.

The Seventh ISICO 2023 theme is "Breakthrough Information Systems Innovations Toward Digital Resilience, Reinvention, and Transformation". The focus of this conference is on how information systems can be used to help organizations and societies adapt and recover from the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and emerge stronger and more resilient in the long term. This theme highlights the importance of digital resilience, or the ability to withstand and recover from disruptions and challenges, in the face of the pandemic. It also emphasizes the need for reinvention and transformation, suggesting that the pandemic has required organizations to fundamentally change the way they operate and interact with customers and stakeholders. To address these challenges, this conference focuses on breakthrough innovations in information systems that can help organizations adapt to the new normal and build resilience for the future. This could include discussions on topics such as remote work technologies, digital transformation strategies, data analytics and visualization tools, cybersecurity measures, etc.

ISICO 2023 is a hybrid conference that will be held virtually and on-site (Prama Sanur Beach) in Sanur, Bali, Indonesia, on 26-28 July, 2023 to accommodate the uncertain global situation.

The two salient features of ISICO are the keynotes and Open Access Scopus-indexed Elsevier publication support. In terms of Keynotes Speakers, we regularly invite Global AIS President such as Prof. Douglas Vogel, Hong Kong (ISICO 2013), Prof Jaekyu Lee, Korea (ISICO 2015), Prof Matti Rossi, Finland (ISICO 2017), and Prof. Brian Fitzgerald, Ireland (ISICO 2021).

In terms of publication, we have strong ties with Elsevier on a regular basis. The submitted paper will undergo at least double-blind, developmental reviews by the Scientific Committee. Final acceptance of approved camera-ready papers will be contingent on incorporating reviewers’ feedback to the satisfaction of the Editors-in-chief. In ISICO 2015-2021, the approved camera-ready papers were published under Procedia Computer Science (PCS) which is open and easily accessible at www.sciencedirect.com.
